05 Apr, 2019 Describe your experience bringing pets.: It is difficult to bring pets into Japan and it can be more difficult to find housing, but it's not impossible. I recommend hiring a pet agent to pick them up at airport customs and to make sure you have all the correct paperwork.
To avoid quarantine you must plan and have your pets tested about 6 months in advance of arrival.
