Stay updated with the latest comments and experiences from Raffles International Christian School: 14 Jan, 2018 What is the most challenging/difficult part of living in the city?: The constant traffic congestion, regardless of the time. The locals are unhygienic and they (mainly males) have no qualms about spitting freely or pee in between the trees (located along a stretch of busy road). So, don\'t be surprised if you look out the taxi window and see such acts, which the locals do not seem to notice or mind at all.
The internet and phone service is horrendous. There\'s no mobile phone contracts, so you need to keep topping up your sim card value to ensure that your phone line does not expire. Many times I could not send sms or make a call cos my value or \'pulsa\', as they are locally referred to, has finished. It can be very inconvenient and frustrating when that happens at an urgent time like meeting someone or trying to contact someone..
